BBDBuy Service Fees: Separate Freight from the Platform Fee
BBDBuy's current published service agreement states that package forwarding uses third-party logistics providers and that the platform service fee for forwarding is calculated at 8% of the shipping fee.
That percentage is useful because it lets you separate two numbers that are easy to mentally merge: the logistics charge and the platform fee attached to that logistics charge.
The Basic Formula
If the current logistics shipping fee is F, the published platform service fee can be illustrated as:
Platform fee = F × 8%
Combined freight + platform fee = F × 1.08
This is arithmetic based on the currently published percentage. It does not automatically include every optional service, destination-side tax, insurance choice or other charge that may apply to a particular parcel.

The value of this table is not that every parcel will cost one of those amounts. It shows how to read a shipping quote when the platform fee is percentage-based.
Do Not Compare Routes Until You Normalize the Numbers
If one route is shown before a fee and another number you saw online is discussed after fees or coupons, the comparison is not clean.
When comparing routes, record:
- base/current logistics quote;
- percentage platform fee;
- optional packing or protection services;
- coupons or promotions actually applied;
- destination-side charges if known separately.
Then compare like with like.
Product Purchase Cost and Shipping Cost Are Different Buckets
